I hear Jiraiya-san's finally gotten here. It's about time, really. I know everyone keeps saying that all he is is just a no-good pervert, but I'm actually kinda relieved that he's here now. Sure, he's a pervert, and sometimes kinda narrow-minded, but he's a good principal nonetheless.

At least from what I know. He was helpful to me, at least, when I came last year, and really nice. Given, that could have been because I wasn't wearing my usual black turtleneck under my white shirt, but whatever.

Regardless, things seem to be going well here. Someone dropped a book in the common room, and we still haven't found the owner. I got a little worried when Mikoto described it, but I checked my books, and they're all still there. Good thing, too.

Since I registered here late last year, I didn't know there were going to be dorms. I saw the room assignments in the commons, but...I'm not sure how to feel about it. Apparently, the principal thought it was best--or funniest. I can never tell with him--for me to be the senior in charge of freshman Hyuuga Hanabi.

If this is some sort of Big Sister program, I don't remember signing up for it. The girl herself seems mature enough, and fairly sweet besides, so I suppose there won't be any problems.

I've mostly unpacked everything. Certainly don't see anything laying about, but it still feels like something's missing. I don't know.

The room doesn't look like my roommate's been here yet, so I can either wait for her to get here, or wander campus and see how everyone else is fairing. I think I'll do the latter; I hear the principal made a few somewhat random choices for rooms and roommates, and it might be interesting to see how everything turns out.
